About Hi, I'm Marisa Switzer.
For a long time, I thought I built brands.
And for more than a decade, that's what I told people I did. Fifteen years building on Shopify. More than 150 brands launched and grown, some of them all the way onto the shelves of Nordstrom, Sephora, and Anthropologie.
From the outside, it looked like branding.
But what I loved most happened long before the logo.
It was sitting with a woman who had a great career and an idea she couldn't stop thinking about, and helping her make sense of it. Watching her go from "is this crazy?" to "I know exactly what I'm building and why it matters."
Because once that clarity was there, everything else followed. The messaging had something to say. The design had a point of view. The store actually sold.
I knew that feeling well. I'd left corporate fashion to build something of my own, and nobody handed me the playbook either.
Then life asked me to live my own philosophy all over again.
Motherhood changed how I defined success. It led me to ask the same questions my clients had been asking for years:
What am I really building? What kind of life do I want? What is all of this for?
And in that season, something became clear:
The quality of what we build is limited by the clarity of who we're becoming.
Your business won't exist apart from you. It will carry your values, your priorities, and the life you're trying to create.
That's why I don't believe branding starts with design.
It starts with clarity. And then it has to be built well.
That's what I do today. I partner with women who are finally ready to bring a long-held idea to life, and I take it all the way through: the strategy, the messaging, the design, and the Shopify store. One partner, one vision, and a whole brand world built around your idea, so you can take the leap knowing it's done right.
Because the business you build won't just shape your career.
It will shape who you become.
And I can't think of more meaningful work than helping you build it well.

Most of my clients come to me with a career they're good at and an idea they can't stop thinking about. Some have a full product line mapped out. Some have a notebook and a feeling.
What they have in common is that they don't want to wing it. They want to invest once, do it properly, and launch something they're proud of.
And the ideas behind their brands are always bigger than the product. They're about helping women feel confident in their natural hair, or giving women a place in a sport that was built for men, or bringing back the memory of someone you love through a scent.
